Welp going to try and sleep in my own bed after the joys and adventures that was OUTShine 2013.
I’ll admit it, I’ve sobbed like a baby over this experience ending. I don’t have things hard in my household at least, like geez my dad and step-mum are great people, but knowing that I’m going back into a community that doesn’t understand the struggles of MY community feels…well a little bit upsetting. It doesn’t help that I crave human interaction as much as I do when my household is quiet, and lonely, at this time of night, which feels so starkly different from the satisfying comfort of people I have had during this past weekend. And sure there will be school tomorrow, and work as well, but I’m not sure if I’ll be quite in the swing of things just yet. Folks here ain’t the same. This is all very alike to finishing a great book, you can read it over and remember it all, but it’s not the same as experiencing it the first time when you already know how it ends.

i am reminded that english is a flawed language every time I am forced to use “that that” in a sentence
Ouroboros: a serpent biting its own tail. A mythological and alchemic symbol of the cyclic nature of the universe: creation out of destruction, life out of death. The ouroboros eats its own tail to sustain its life in an eternal cycle of renewal.

So tired from dancing for a gabillion hours and running to and from all the awesome workshops today. If you ever get the opportunity to go to OUTShine, take it. Literally the best experience I’ve had in my life so far. Accepting people, totally awesome people, really cute people, really interesting and intelligent people, people!
